From Milford, CT to the
Professional Stage

Before he ever coached a single session, Tyler Turner had already done what most young players only dream about — he lived it. Born and raised in Milford, Connecticut, Tyler grew up with a singular focus: compete at the highest level the game has to offer. He did exactly that, and then some.

At just 17 years old, Tyler became the youngest player ever signed by Orlando City SC when he put pen to paper on a professional contract in February 2014. That single moment announced to the soccer world that Connecticut had produced something special — a player with the talent, the mentality, and the composure to compete with grown men on one of American soccer's biggest stages.

Today, Tyler brings every standard, every habit, and every hard lesson learned on those professional pitches directly to the youth players of Southington, Connecticut. Through T3 Professional Youth Soccer Camp and the Southington Soccer Club, he has created something that simply didn't exist before: a genuine professional training environment, right here at home.

A Career Built on
The Highest Standards

Tyler's path to professional soccer wasn't handed to him — it was earned through relentless work, beginning in Connecticut and extending to the elite development system at IMG Soccer Academy in Florida, one of the premier youth training programs in the country.

  Elite Youth Development — IMG Soccer Academy, Florida

  Trained at one of the most prestigious soccer academies in the United States, sharpening his game against top national talent and attracting professional scouts that would change his life.

• 2014Orlando City
  Youngest Signing in Orlando City SC History — USL Pro

  On February 27, 2014, Tyler signed simultaneous USL Pro and MLS contracts with Orlando City SC — becoming the youngest player in the club's history at 17 years old. Made his professional debut March 22 in a 1–1 draw with the Charleston Battery. Awarded Orlando City Club Rookie of the Year at season's end.

• 2015MLS Debut
  MLS Regular Season Debut — Orlando City SC

  Started all 90 minutes on March 28 in a 2–2 draw vs. the Montreal Impact — holding his own in the country's premier soccer league. That same season, he trained and competed daily alongside Kaká — the 2007 FIFA World Player of the Year, World Cup champion, and Brazilian football icon who was Orlando City's marquee Designated Player.

  MLS Homegrown Game — Selected by Landon Donovan

  Named to the 2015 Chipotle MLS Homegrown Game by USMNT legend Landon Donovan as part of the AT&T MLS All-Star Game festivities — one of the highest honors available to young American professional players.

• 2015National Team
  US Men's U-23 National Team — Toulon Tournament, France

  Represented the United States at the prestigious Toulon Tournament — one of the world's most respected international youth competitions. Tyler had previously represented the US at the U-17, U-18 (as captain), and U-20 levels, making him a multi-year fixture in the American national team system.

  LA Galaxy II — USL Championship, Los Angeles

  Continued his professional career on the West Coast with the Galaxy's development squad, competing in the USL Championship on a national stage and broadening his experience across American professional soccer.

• 2019USL
  Birmingham Legion FC — USL Championship

  Signed a multi-year deal with Birmingham Legion FC, competing at the second tier of American professional soccer for one of the league's expansion clubs. Also competed with Elm City Express (NPSL) and the Orlando SeaWolves (MASL), adding indoor and regional professional experience to his resume.

  Extended his career across multiple leagues and formats, including taking on player-manager duties with the Iowa Raptors (MWPL) — the first steps in a natural transition from competing at the professional level to leading the next generation.

When Tyler Turner runs a T3 camp session, he isn't teaching from a coaching manual — he's teaching from memory. He knows what it takes to earn a professional contract at 17 because he earned one. He knows what it feels like to step onto an MLS pitch with tens of thousands watching because he stepped onto one. He knows what coaches, scouts, and professional clubs look for — because he was the one being scouted, the one being evaluated, the one being selected by Landon Donovan himself.

That experience is irreplaceable, and it is exactly what every T3 participant gets access to at camp. Not a simulation of professional training — actual professional standards, methods, and expectations, delivered by a man who earned the right to teach them.

Tyler Turner could have taken his professional resume anywhere. Instead, he came home. As the Director of Coaching at Southington Soccer Club, he has spent years building a culture of excellence at the grassroots level — one that refuses to accept the idea that Connecticut kids need to leave their state to access world-class development.

T3 Professional Youth Soccer Camp is the fullest expression of that mission. Every drill is purposeful. Every coaching cue is drawn from professional experience. Every session is designed to give young players — regardless of their current level — a genuine taste of what it means to train like a professional.

Hartford Athletic professionals join as special guest coaches throughout the week, giving T3 campers direct access to multiple active professionals for training, photos, and Q&A. It's a rare, real-world environment that most youth players never experience — and it's happening right here in Southington, CT.
